LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN!

For the past three days, I’ve been rehearsing that song by Celine Dion - my favourite artist - in French, it‘s titled, ‘Pour Que Tu M’aimes Encore’. Well, I got a bit excited with it and went as far as writing the chorus down on a small piece of note paper that I folded in half that and personally delivered to my favorite police officer. I thought he might like it but the others have told me he’s a bit shy!

Anyway, I prepared this folded note with clear box tape (before he arrived) and had planned to stick it to his motor bike, to patch the tear on his back seat, in humor.

He rode to work for his usual shift and parked his bike in the usual spot. I gave him a quick minute to stand up and then approached him. With a warm smile, I said, ‘we have a problem here’, while pointing to the back seat of his bike that was torn and damaged. He said in his cute little French accent, ‘a probhlem?’ I continued, ‘yes, the back seat of your bike is broken and I’d like to fix it for you’. The roll of box tape was dangling around my wrist. I released it and drew a strand long enough to cover the tear on his back seat. With the note already stuck to the sticky side (of the box tape), I patched the tear on his back seat and gently reinforced the corners of the note over the tear with my fingers.

He noticed the hand writing on the outside of the fold note that read, ‘PRIVEE’ and beneath it, my lip stick kiss, and he started laughing; and on the in side of the folded note read:

‘J’irai chercher ton Coeur, si tu l’emportes ailleurs, mémé si dans tes danses d’autres dansent tes heures, J’irai chercher ton ame, dans les froids dans les flames, Je te jetterai des sorts pour que tu m’aimes encore’; and signed it, ‘Jeanne d’Arc’.

(English Translation - I will search out your heart, if you take it else where, even if in your dance, others dance those hours, I will search out your soul in the cold, in the flames, I will cast spells on you, so you’ll love me again’)

Lucky for me he’s single, so I don’t have to worry about upsetting anyone but if wasn‘t single I would have chosen someone else.
